Words to say and words to pray.
The power of ‘liturgical’ worship has been seen very clearly in the services surrounding the death of Her majesty the Queen. This month we have the chance to understand something more of our inheritance of worship within the Church of England.
Have you ever wondered why we use the words we do in church?
Have you ever wondered why we do the things we do in church?….but been too embarrassed to ask?
On Wednesday evenings in October we will spend some time looking at our services and have the chance to ask ‘Why do we say that? What do these words mean?’ and ‘What is the symbolism behind what we are doing?’
Each meeting take place from 7.00pm – 8.00pm on Zoom (contact alec.harding@durham.anglican.org for the Zoom code). All are welcome.
